Today, some students participated in two walkouts during lunch supporting Israel and Gaza.
Seniors Tohar Markovich and Roy Ruppin organized the pro-Israel walkout to show solidarity with Israel. They walked through the school with Israeli flags and pictures of Israeli civilians taken hostage by Hamas, and the organizers gave a speech condemning the October 7th Hamas attacks as terrorism.
Sophomores Lev Zeiger and Luca Ferrari organized the pro-Gaza walkout to promote peace and condemn violence from both Hamas and the Israeli government. They walked to downtown Los Altos with Palestinian flags and peace signs where they gathered and gave speeches.
