The Sopranotes, a local student barbershop quartet, performed its final concert this Saturday. Consisting of seniors Mira Sumant, Caila Kim, Mountain View High School senior Kaela Nguyen and Foothill Middle College senior Elaine Choi, the performance marked the end of the group’s three-year career.
Kalico, a student band, opened the event with a setlist including “Kilby Girl” by Backseat Lovers and “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Sopranotes then sang multiple pieces, such as “Cheek to Cheek” by Irving Berlin, interspersed with speeches by all four members, their coach and a parent. The afternoon ended with a combined piece with the San Francisco choir Harmonia Chorus.
The Sopranotes perform to a packed Menlo Church in Mountain View at their last ever concert.
