On Tuesday, October 24, Los Altos High School’s Associated Student Body (ASB) hosted its first day of spirit activities for Homecoming week. Yesterday, students dressed in Top Gun Theme, decking out in denim, glasses, red, white, and blue; at lunch, the classes participated in an obstacle course on the track.
On Wednesday, October 25, ASB hosted the Homecoming Rally.
ASB also hosted its second day of its annual Homecoming week lunch activities. 10 participants from various grades finished Disney song lyrics, faced with the threat of having a mystery bucket dumped on them for any incorrect answers. Buckets included mixtures of chocolate milk, pickle juice, pickles, ranch, salsa and SpaghettiOs. Students sang along and watched as freshman Erin Downey beat out longtime senior champion Elle RusselHapp.
On Thursday, October 26, Volare performed for the student body at the theater during brunch in celebration of homecoming week. They sang “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys and “Trashin’ the Camp” from the Tarzan soundtrack, drawing a crowd during their short but well-received show.
On Friday, October 27, the annual Homecoming parade took place in downtown Los Altos. School clubs and sports teams marched through the streets and Homecoming Court rode in antique cars.
The Homecoming football game took place after school on Friday. The Homecoming Dance was on Saturday, October 28.
