The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club attended the annual Bay Section Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 3. Twenty six students won awards in various events at the conference, which measured the contestants’ knowledge about various aspects of business and entrepreneurship. The school also won an award for hosting Officer/Adviser Training Day.

The Bay Sectional Leadership Conference is the first level of competitions for FBLA members. Many of the members who placed fifth or above qualify for entry into the competitions at the State Leadership Conference, which will be held in Irvine, California from Thursday, April 19 to Saturday, April 21.

“It was very fulfilling for me to see all our hard work come together at this competition,” freshman Michelle Deng said. “I liked the competition because it gave me a chance to learn about entrepreneurship and working with others.”
