Varsity Boys Water Polo Beats MVHS 12-7

On Tuesday, September 20, the boys water polo team beat Mountain View High School (MVHS) 12-7, putting LAHS at a 3-0 record.

The team made a huge improvement by having less than 10 fouls, in comparison to the number from the last 2 games. However, playing it safe on defense costed the Eagles goals throughout the game, as they let loose on guarding a few players during the third quarter.

“It was a good win, but not great,” Coach Johnny Bega said. “We played calm and composed against a team that has a reputation of being very physical.”

Junior Ian McColl led scoring tonight with four goals and senior Adam Warmoth had three. LAHS plans to continue the winning streak against Monta Vista at home on Thursday, September 22 at 6:45 p.m.
