The 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Is A $200,500 Porsche Sedan

The new Panamera Turbo S gets 50 more horsepower thanks to new turbochargers, so for a base price of $180,300, you now get 570 horses in a 192 mph car. Go for the extended-wheelbase Executive, though, and you’re looking at a $200,500 Porsche four-door. America, what a country!

The Panamera Turbo S uses updated turbos with larger compressors and higher injection pressure. More power means higher stress, so the engine also got new aluminum alloy pistons and specially coated piston rings. Torque is up to 553 lb.-ft. between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm, with overboost increasing it momentarily to 590 lb.-ft.

Exclusive paints, a color matching four-way rear spoiler and the 20-inch 911 Turbo II wide wheels tell others that you have a Panamera that does 0-62 in 3.6 seconds thanks to the reprogrammed PDK transmission.

There are all sorts of other gizmos that make this one fast whale indeed. Launch control, torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, variable steering and the active suspension can turn the luxury grand tourer into a beast in a blink of an eye. For the base price of $180,300, these all come as standard.

Add 5.9 inches to the wheelbase, and you get the Panamera Turbo S Executive, which offers even more comfort at the rear. It has thermal and noise-insulated windows, an interior lighting package and large center console at the rear just in case 4.7 inches of extra space in the footwell wouldn’t provide enough premium feel.

The Panamera Turbo S starts at $200,500 and will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next month.
