Students Win Awards in Bay Area Photography Contest
Five students recently won accolades after participating in the Second Annual High School Photo Contest, hosted by Now and Forever Studios in Los Gatos. Photography students from 10 Bay Area high schools submitted a total of 350 prints, under categories such as Landscape and Nature, People and Portraiture, Travel and Architecture, Black and White, Photo Manipulation and Other. Each student was able to send in only one print per category. Photographers could receive first, second or third place. Additional awards included an Honorable Mention and the Judge’s Choice.
The following LAHS students won awards:
Nikki Klepper (senior): Honorable mention in the Other category
Marino Kinoshita (junior) : Honorable mention in the Other category
Amy Shannon (junior): Judge’s Choice in Portraiture
Courtney Coffman (senior): Third place in Digital Manipulation
Elizabeth Fuchs (junior): Honorable mention in Landscape
