STEM week begins October 21 and presentations will take place throughout school on Monday and Wednesday and during tutorial on Tuesday. Students interested in listening to either Jocelyn Goldfein, the engineering director at Facebook, or Nicky Espinosa and a team of engineers from Intuitive Surgical, must get tickets from Ms. Rainie in the attendance office. Tickets can be picked up starting next week through October 14.
Goldfien is set to speak about how Facebook pushes the limits of what can happen on mobile phones. Espinosa will demonstrate Intuitive Surgical’s robot and discuss the engineering behind creating the robot. Both presentations will occur during tutorial on October 22.
