Stanford Professor Gives Lecture on Happiness
Students gathered in the Eagle Theater during third period on Monday, March 26 to hear Stanford University professor Dr. Fred Luskin give his presentation, “The Role of Happiness and the Balance in Your Life.”
Luskin lectured on happiness and its relationship to stress, emphasizing that stress can have a negative effect on physical health.
“It was great,” counselor Judy Prothro said. “He gave all the kids an opportunity to get tools for dealing with their stress.”
The topic resonated with students as they were all “extremely attentive,” Prothro said.
Luskin will be coming back to the Eagle Theater at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 5 for a similar lecture.
