Yesterday, January 14, from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. in the Eagle Theatre, PSAT Information Night attendees learned about preparing for college admissions tests such as SAT and ACT.

After a brief introduction by Dawn Allen, the LAHS College and Career Center Coordinator, a representative from Revolution Prep reviewed the PSAT’s scoring sheet, explaining how to interpret each section. He then continued on and compared the PSAT to the SAT and ACT in terms of structure, content and length.

“He encouraged us not to ‘let the SAT take you by surprise,’” sophomore Ellen Roper said.

The attendees left with the understanding that it is essential to prepare for these tests, whether with a prep book, course or tutor.

“It definitely answered a lot of my questions and it was worth it to go,” sophomore Tatiana Gibson said.
