Robotics Club Attends Sacramento Regional, Remains Optimistic
The Robotics Club attended the Sacramento Regional in Davis from Wednesday, March 14 to Saturday, March 17.
Senior Jamshed Vesuna said they were able to build a “robust bridge tipper” even though the competition was tense.
“We didn’t do as well as we would have liked to, due to many technical problems,” Jamshed said.
The team was involved in the FRC 2012 Rebound Rumble Game, in which two alliances with three teams each played a type of game akin to basketball. Jamshed believes that although the members had been able to solve many previous problems, they had gotten “tired towards the end of the competition.”
The Robotics Club’s next competition is the Silicon Valley Regional (SVR), where the competition will be even more intense. The Robotics Club plans to work more on camera tracking to auto-aim the shooter at the targets.
“We are definitely more prepared,” Jamshed said.
