Red Cross Club Hosts Teddy Bear Drive

The Red Cross Club is currently hosting a teddy bear drive at school. The project is meant to provide at-risk or sheltered youth with stuffed animals. The idea is that having a fluffy friend will comfort children, especially as the holiday season nears.

“The teddy bear drive is meant to get stuffed animals, new or gently used, which the Red Cross Club will give to children during the holidays,” Red Cross Club President junior Alina Chen said.

Students can expect to see more posters for the drive up around school as soon as Homecoming comes to a close.

“[The] drive ends on December 1,” Alina said. “We just haven’t put up many posters because of Homecoming decorations.”

If students would like to donate new or moderately used stuffed animals, they can find the donation box in front of the Tutorial Center.
