Preview: Boys Basketball to Face Mountain View

The boys basketball team will face its bitter rivals, the Mountain View High School Spartans today, February 2. The two teams met earlier this year during the preseason tournaments, when Los Altos was pummeled 72-49.

Mountain View  is currently ranked third in the upper De Anza League with a record of 5-3, while the Eagles stand first in the lower El Camino League with a record of 8-0, having been widely successful throughout the season.

When the two teams played previously, Mountain View had attacked Los Altos with flair screens and sharp outside shooting. The key for today’s success lies in the Eagles’ ability to stop Mountain View’s senior Nick Wang, who is always a threat in knocking down three-pointers. Los Altos will need to share the ball and find the open man to break Mountain View’s zone.

The game will be held today at home at 7 p.m.
