News Briefs: Boy Scout Creates 3-D Maps for School

The school has two new 3-D campus maps, one hanging on the school band room and the other between the administration office and the College and Career Center. The maps were built by Boy Scout Troop 37 as part of sophomore Jamshed Vesuna’s Eagle Scout project and went on display Tuesday, September 1.

Principal Wynne Satterwhite first suggested the project to Jamshed and gave him the money which had been saved up by the school over time.

Jamshed said the construction took five to six days. He supervised an average of eight other scouts a day from Troop 37 over the course of the building.

“The other scouts were supposed to do it, while I had to show leadership.”
