Modified Schedule for Homecoming Week Posted

Homecoming comes early this year, and with it a modified schedule for the days leading up to the week-long event.

Monday will be a normal Monday schedule, with no changes made.

Tuesday will be a double period assembly schedule. Classes will all be 35 minutes long, except for second period. There will be two second periods, denoted as 2A and 2B. Third period will include 10 minutes for voting.

Period 1 8:10 – 8:45

Period 2A 8:50 – 9:50

BRUNCH 9:50 – 10:00

Period 2B 10:05 – 11:05

Period 3 11:10 – 11:55

Period 4 12:00 – 12:35

LUNCH 12:35 – 1:20

Period 5 1:25 – 2:00

Period 6 2:05 – 2:40

Period 7 2:45 – 3:20

Wednesday will not be an even block day, and will instead run on a Monday schedule.

Thursday will include a county-wide earthquake drill.

Thursday, September 22

Period 0 7:15 – 8:00

Period 1 8:05 – 8:50

Period 2 8:55 – 9:40

BRUNCH 9:40 – 9:50

Period 3 9:55 – 10:40

Earthquake Drill 10:40 – 11:25

Period 4 11:30 – 12:15

LUNCH 12:15 – 1:00

Period 5 1:05 – 1:50

Period 6 1:55 – 2:40

Period 7 2:45 – 3:30

Friday is a minimum day. Seventh period ends at 12:55 p.m. and students are encouraged to attend the Homecoming Parade in downtown Los Altos.

Parade 1:30

On Saturday, JV football plays at 11 a.m. and varsity football plays at 1:30 p.m. The Homecoming Dance will be held that night from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

“This year’s homecoming is guaranteed to be the best that LAHS has ever created,” Assistant Principal Cristy Dawson said. “I invite all students to participate, have a great time, and celebrate the magic that is Disney.”
