Performing arts teachers lip sync along to ABBA’s “Mamma Mia,” which will be this year’s musical.

Bursting onto the theater steps in bedazzled costumes and lip syncing their hearts out, Los Altos High School’s performing arts teachers announced that this year’s musical will be “Mamma Mia” after school today.

Set to ABBA’s disco tunes, “Mamma Mia” follows the main character Sophie, a soon-to-be bride, as she seeks to discover her father’s identity.

Auditions will be held on Monday, November 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. All LAHS students are welcome to audition. Dance teacher April Oliver and choir teacher Lauren Diez will be holding mandatory dance and vocal workshops during ACT in the next few weeks for students to prepare. Rehearsals for “Mamma Mia” will begin on January 4, 2022 and will continue until the show closes on February 5, 2022.

Contact theatre teacher Nancy Moran at [email protected] if you’re interested in auditioning or have any questions.
