A 40-man list of nominees will be announced in early December, at which point UEFA.com users will be able to vote for their preferred XI. Until then we want your suggestions. We have already canvassed opinion using our extensive network of correspondents from across the continent – but what do you think?
There are some obvious names who will make the cut, but who else deserves a mention? Who are the dark horses who could line up alongside the more established candidates? While domestic and European titles are important when mulling over your recommendations, do not forget there is room for players performing particularly well for a team without silverware.
