The Kincade fire in Sonoma County, now 100% contained, was active for 13 days. The fire has caused four injuries but no deaths. According to the Sonoma County Fire District and other Cal Fire officials, communication systems, evacuation procedures and official response times all improved from lessons learned in the 2017 North Bay fires.
