Homecoming Top 50 announced

The top 50 homecoming nominees, 25 boys and 25 girls, were announced today. The nominees received notice of their advancement to the second round of the process during their first period classes. They then attended a short information session during brunch to find out what happens next.

“They just told us only to do it if we really wanted it,” senior Eric Safai said. “If we continue to the next round, we’re all in.”

Seniors voted for the top 50 during tutorial on Tuesday. Each senior voted for 10 boys and 10 girls.

The next step in the process begins next Tuesday, September 22. Seniors will again vote for 10 boys and 10 girls during tutorial, narrowing the field down from 50 to 20 people.

The top ten boys and top ten girls will become the final homecoming court. The entire school will vote for homecoming king and queen on Tuesday of Homecoming Week.
