Homecoming: Classes Build Floats for Parade

Students from all classes participated in the final Homecoming float-building that took place yesterday, November 1. They worked on floats from after school until 9 p.m. in the parking lot, which was filled with teacher advisors, flat beds, tissue paper, chicken wire and more. The floats all followed this year’s Homecoming theme, “The British are Homecoming.”

“Float-building is something that’s really fun,” Sophomore Class President Ramiel Petros said. “It kind of creates friendly competition between classes and it brings the school together. I’m really excited for the parade.”

The floats went through Main Street in downtown Los Altos today, November 2, after school. Judges will decide on rankings for the floats today.
