Green Team and Art Club worked together to implement new trash cans in the quad today, April 4. These trash cans are split into three sections: trash, compost, and plastics and are called tri-stations.
“The main purpose is to create the waste centers where students can learn how to sort their trash as opposed to throwing it in the nearest can like they normally do,” science teacher Greg Stoehr said.
The Art Club helped to decorate the lids of these trash cans, marking them based on what specific items go in each specific section.
“We painted them because they needed to have signage,” Stoehr said. “We thought it would be neat to have it kind of like an art project, so that is why they are painted.”
