In their second game of the season against Palo Alto High School (Paly) on Tuesday, October 15, the girls varsity tennis team won 4-3.
After having very narrowly lost their first game against Paly on September 24 by a score of 3-4, the Lady Eagles were looking for a win in this second game.
“We always strive to win, but it was especially the case this time since we lost to Paly last time 3-4 and just one more match means the difference between winning and losing as a team,” junior Nina Kamangar said.
Captain Kacey Incerpi delivered a motivational pep talk to the team before the game to raise moral and fire them up. With the pep talk in mind, the team was able to play their way to a comfortable win against Paly.
The next match for the Lady Eagles will be an away game against Gunn High School on October 22.
