Girls Soccer Ties Mountain View 2-2

The girls soccer team played a match against the Mountain View High School Spartans today, January 9. The match ended in a 2-2 tie, leaving the girls with a record of one win and one tie.

The Eagles came out very strong at the beginning of the game with two quick goals, one which came from freshman Stephanie Kouvelas, and the other from sophomore Allie Crum. The Spartans later came back with a goal at the beginning of the second half. However, Mountain View tied the game with four minutes left to play, and held LAHS off for the rest of the game to seal the tie.

“The main thing to learn from this is to finish off the game strong,” Captain senior Sabrina Petros said. “We played very well, and I really think we dominated most of the game.”

The team’s next game will be on Friday, January 11, against Monta Vista High School.
