Girls Soccer Loses 0-3 to Mountain View

The varsity girls soccer team played Mountain View High School (MVHS) for the first time this season, losing 0-3 to the top team in the league.

MVHS took a 1-0 lead into the second half, and, as the game progressed, pulled ahead again with another goal to lead 2-0.

After the Eagles fouled MVHS, the Spartans received a free kick from the far right but failed to convert. Shortly after, MVHS scored its third goal against the team, ending the match.

The Eagles have lost all three of their league games so far and will be playing Gunn High School on Friday, January 13 at 3:30 p.m. at home

“Our team keeps our spirits up and despite losses, I think we have the potential to improve and win,” junior Amanda Spielman.
