Girls Soccer Beats Los Gatos

Girls soccer played Los Gatos on Monday, January 27, and after a physically exhausting battle, came out on top with a score of 1-0 thanks to a clutch goal by junior forward Allie Crum.

“We played with a lot of heart and I could tell that everyone really wanted a win and we all worked very hard together as a unit,” senior captain Katie Winters said. “If we play like that every game I think we can get pretty far into CCS, we just can’t become lax.”

Though Los Altos controlled the majority of the first half of game and had several scoring opportunities, it couldn’t put Los Gatos away. It was a trying and physically intense game against the Wildcats, but Allie’s goal managed to seal away a win.

“We didn’t let down, and played with a lot of determination,” Allie said.

The win against Los Gatos gives the team a confidence boost before its game against Palo Alto, whom the Lady Eagles tied with in their last encounter.

This win brings the Eagles to 4-1-1 in league. They are tied for first place.
