Girls Basketball Places Second in Holiday Classic Tournament
The varsity girls basketball team played in three games in the Holiday Classic tournament, winning two and then losing in the final. The Eagles placed second out of the eight schools: Menlo Atherton High School, Aragon High School, Andrew Hill High School, Homestead High School, Mountain View High School (MVHS), Valley Christian High School, Mt. Pleasant High School, and LAHS. MVHS placed first and Valley Christian placed third.
Los Altos played its first game in the tournament on Thursday, December 6, against Andrew Hill. The Eagles defeated the Falcons 68-40, with freshman Meg Enthoven as highest scorer, scoring 16 points.
The Eagles then played the second game on Friday, December 7, against Mt. Pleasant. The Eagles scored another win, beating the Cardinals 51-45. Senior Ideen Seyed was highest scorer with 21 points.
Los Altos played its final game of the tournament on yesterday, December 8, against MVHS. The Eagles were unable to continue their winning streak against the Spartans, losing 56-33. The highest scorer for the Eagles netted 12 points.
