Girls Basketball Falls to Willow Glen
This Monday, December 2, the girls varsity basketball team fell to Willow Glen High School 36-46.
Both teams came out strong, but during the second quarter, the Rams were able to take advantage of some defensive breakdowns, and the lead started to slip from the Eagles.
The Eagles mounted an impressive comeback, but it wasn’t quite enough to capture the win.
“We had a really strong comeback in the end of third and fourth quarter, bolstered by great defensive stops,” sophomore Katie Munro said.
Although the Eagles lost, they improved in areas that were lacking during previous games.
“We really improved our rebounding in this game and we broke their full court pressure well,” Katie said.
The team looks to bounce back from the loss in its upcoming game this Thursday, December 5, against Christopher High School.
“As a team we really need to work on pushing through fatigue and not getting in our own heads,” Katie said.
