Football wins Homecoming, King and Queen crowned

The Homecoming football game took place yesterday, Saturday, October 31. The Homecoming King and Queen and results of the float competition were also announced at the game.

The JV football game was held at 11 and was followed by varsity at 1:30. Both games were played against Gunn High School. Varsity won 23-21, and JV won 20-6.

The float winners and the Homecoming King and Queen were announced at halftime.

The Senior Class took first for the floats this year followed by the Sophomore Class in second, the Junior Class in third and the Freshman Class in fourth. The Homecoming Queen was senior Sasha Zebb, and the Homecoming King was senior Scott Abramo.

Sophomore Daniel Eaton said Gunn had good football teams but said LAHS won because they had more heart.

“[Varsity] was in a battle until the end, and they just wanted the win more,” Daniel said. “[JV] had extra motivation, it being the Homecoming game. If we won, then we would also win first place in the El Camino League.”
