Field Hockey Beats Leland 2-0
The varsity field hockey team had its second win of the season yesterday, November 2, beating Leland High School by a 2-0 margin. The Eagles’ first win came over Leland earlier in the season, and they have also had one tie against Presentation High School.
Captain senior Taylor Peterson scored the first goal of the game, and was assisted by senior Rachel Norton. The second goal was scored by sophomore Samantha Albert.
“We played good defense but our goalie [junior Audrey Miller-Foreman] played very well,” junior Kira Winner said.
“Over the season we have really clicked, and as the girls got more skilled we could run our plays better,” Taylor said.
The Eagles will play in a CCS qualifying match next Thursday, November 8.
