FBLA Hosts March of Dimes Concert
The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) will be holding a concert in the cafeteria as a fundraiser for March of Dimes and the chapter tomorrow, January 21. Students from the school will be performing in the concert, which will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
March of Dimes and FBLA have been in a partnership for almost 40 years. March of Dimes is an organization that raises money to promote awareness about and help mothers who have full-term pregnancies. In addition, they help with research on the problems that threaten the health of babies.
“In past years, we didn’t have many of these events,” FBLA Director of Projects junior Jerry Liu said. “So these represent a maturing of our club’s responsibilities as well as an indication of its growing influence.”
Every year, the chapter also participates in the Bay Section Leadership Conference and State Leadership Conference. This fundraiser is to help pay for conference fees and other materials, such as textbooks.
This is the second fundraiser that FBLA has held this year.
