The Lady Eagles had a chance to win their division of the Burlingame preseason tournament yesterday morning, December 22. But when they played against the Menlo Atherton Bears in the third round, they narrowly lost 1-0.
Senior Katie Winters believes the team lost because it tightened up, and didn’t effectively control the first few touches.
“We worked really hard but we need to relax and be more patient and confident on the ball,” Katie said. “We also need to have better first touches.”
This loss brings the Eagles’ record thus far to two losses and two wins. The team will have a holiday break from games and will come back on January 4 to play against Santa Teresa.
