Current MVHS Principal Will Become Head of Adult Education
The current MVHS principal Keith Moody will become the district’s Director of Adult Education effective July 1, replacing outgoing Adult Education director Laura Stefanski. The MVLA District Board will vote on Moody’s appointment at its meeting on April 22.
Moody has been the principal of MVHS for the past eight years. The district has not yet appointed anyone to take over Moody’s current position as MVHS principal.
“A search committee of students, parents and staff will be formed to help in the selection of the new MVHS principal,” Superintendent Mr. Groves said in a press release today. “We hope to have a new MVHS principal selected by the end of this school year.”
Moody is eager to spearhead the MVLA district Adult Ed program, one of the strongest in California.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with adult learners,” Moody said in the press release. “Adult Education is an exciting growth area in the 21st century, one that offers a richness and diversity that touches over 8000 learners in our district annually. I’m excited to be working with one of the strongest and most successful Adult Education programs in the state.”
