The counseling department released the fall class rankings for current seniors this week.
According to department coordinator Ryan Carter, the school district releases two rankings each year, one during the Fall and another after the first semester grades have been finalized.
“The rank is calculated by the district and they are calculated based on the student’s grade point average,” Carter said.
Each student is given two class rankings, one based on non-weighted grade point average (GPA) and another based on weighted GPA.
“[The Counseling Department] submits the higher rank to colleges in order to better support the student,” Carter said.
Students who want to find out their class ranking should go see their individual counselor.
