Concert Choir Attends Camp Over Weekend
Concert Choir, which consists of the Main Street Singers and other top singers in the Choral Department, left for YMCA Camp Campbell at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22.
The Main Street Singers sang a total of 30 hours throughout the camp, and other Concert Choir members sang for approximately 8 hours.
After working until Saturday afternoon, Concert Choir members who did not belong to Main Street departed from camp. The Main Street Singers stayed one day longer than Concert Choir and did not return home until 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 22.
Over the weekend, the two groups were introduced to new music and focused on getting the rhythms for each of the songs.
Second-year Main Street Singer junior Ellie Robertson said that there was a lot of positive bonding between Concert Choir and Main Street.
“For us in Main Street, [we] learned how important leadership is,” Ellie said.
