The school will be having a Code Red drill on Tuesday, April 16, the Tuesday students and teachers return from spring break. Students will remain in their third period class during tutorial to practice the standard safety procedures set in place should a shooting weapon ever be brought onto campus.
The drill was originally planned to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, April 2, during tutorial but was rescheduled due to a conflict with the English Department. Most English teachers will spend tomorrow off campus grading the Interdistrict Writing Assessment with other English teachers from around the county. Drills are put in place as practice for teachers as well as students, and the time would be better used with as many teachers present as possible.
