Club day to be held tomorrow

Club Day will take place in the quad tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16. It will be held during lunch from 12:20 to 1 p.m.

According to ASB Clubs Commissioner junior Teresa Fabbricino, 73 clubs were chartered this year.

“There are a lot more clubs this year, like 10 [more],” Teresa said.

These new clubs include the Persian Club, Juntos and Finance for the Future.

According to Teresa, other new additions to Club Day are tables for the health van and Revolution Prep for the SAT.

Many clubs plan on using different methods to recruit new members.

Co-president of the Film Club sophomore Yasmeen Serhan plans on passing out fliers to advertise the club.

“I am very excited about Club Day this year,” Yasmeen said.

Other club officers are also using the opportunity to alert potential members of extracurricular activities they might be interested in.

“I plan on introducing community service events and getting [new members] to sign up,” Key Club President senior Justin Oh said.

For many students, Club Day is a new experience and a chance to explore their interests.

“I’m excited to see what clubs there are and deciding on which [clubs] to join,” freshman Catherine Hua said.
