Boys Soccer Triumphs 4-0 Against Palo Alto

In the highest scoring game the team has played all season, the boys varsity soccer team took in a strong victory when it defeated Palo Alto 4-0 today, February 10.

Senior Omri Fried kicked off the first half by scoring the first goal of the game. Omri would later go on to score two more, resulting in a fantastic hat trick.

“We played really well, especially in the beginning, and we dominated passing-wise,” Omri said. “I told myself that I needed to score more goals, and then I did.”

The team kept up the intensity for the duration of the first half, with senior Fernando Farias scoring a second goal before the half-time whistle. In the second half, the team began to relax with its lead, but finished strongly and maintained its advantage.

“The game went well,” Coach Vava Marquez said. “We got a little overconfident after our lead, but as soon as we realized we needed to score another goal, we got back into our normal shape.”

The team has finished the season in third place, and will be moving on to CCS.
