The lacrosse team defeated Carlmont High School on Wednesday, April 3, with a final score of 6-5.
The Eagles came out strong and took a commanding lead in the first part of the game. As the game progressed, however, Carlmont began to make a comeback and scored three consecutive goals, which made the game tighter.
“We got a little lackadaisical and let them back into the game,” junior co-captain Casey Hanni said. “By the end, we were just holding them off till the end of the game.”
Casey helped lead that defensive effort while sophomore AJ Guralas played a primary role on offense.
“[Junior Dave Huffman] was also just a wall in goal,” Casey said.
Lacrosse’s next game is Friday night against Saratoga High School. Last year against Saratoga, the Eagles were able to mount a comeback and defeat the Falcons by one goal, and the team hopes to defeat Saratoga once again.
