Baseball Struggles in League Play Against Palo Alto
The Eagles struggled to get a grip on things in their 2-8 loss to Palo Alto at home on Friday, March 28. The Eagles had one of their more sloppy games on the field with five errors and struggled to get going offensively. Friday’s game was Los Altos’ second face-off against Palo Alto this week, the first having been played two days prior on Wednesday and culminating in a 3-7 defeat.
“It was a big league game and it’s never good to lose those ones,” senior Max Wilber said. “We need to have a looser attitude and remember to have fun. It’s too tense around the field. We need to relax and we should be okay.”
The loss brought the team’s league record to 1-5 and its overall record to 3-9.
On the Saturday right after this loss, the Eagles began a game against Monta Vista, only to have it rained out after the first inning. It is currently undecided as to whether or not the game will be made up. Los Altos will face Sacred Heart Prep in a non-conference away game on Monday, March 31, at 3:30 p.m.
