Administrative assistant leaves school

Assistant Principal Seth Leslie’s administrative assistant Benitisha Winters left notice of her resignation on Wednesday, January 27 at 8 a.m.

Winters began working in the fall, and gave no prior warning of her decision to leave the school.

Principal Wynne Satterwhite said that Winters left her notice with Leslie, Satterwhite’s assistant Silvia Alcala and Satterwhite herself.

According to Leslie, “she did not state a reason for her resignation.”

“We are currently in the process of finding a replacement,” Satterwhite said. “I am not sure how long this will take.”

The administration refused to comment further on Winters’ resignation.

“It would not be appropriate for me to speculate about the feelings of the staff, or share my own, regarding Ms. Winters’ resignation,” Leslie said. “We thank her for her service to the Los Altos High School community and we all wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.”
