The varsity football team lost to Cupertino High School 0-34 yesterday, October 5. Playing a home game in front of a hopeful crowd of fans, the team fell behind early and couldn’t mount a comeback in the second half.
Los Altos had a rough start when Cupertino scored a touchdown within the first five minutes of the game. Cupertino continued to push past Los Altos throughout the first and second quarters. However, the Eagles were able to slow down Cupertino’s offense in the second half.
Despite the tough loss, Los Altos’ quarterback ran 75 yards during the course of the game. In addition to this, Victor Galvez had 10 tackles.
“Our defense is always better in the second half; we just need to be able to bring it in both halves,” junior Kian Ayat said.
The team is ready to work hard to secure a win in its next game, where it will face off against Harker School on Saturday, October 13.
