An anonymous student in PE teacher Kiernan Raffo’s first period class suffered a broken collarbone injury on Thursday, September 2.
The student tripped over another student who had already fallen during a flag football game. Despite the injury, he was still capable of walking and made it to the administration building.
The student was checked out by the paramedics, “purely as a precaution,” according to Raffo. While he was waiting for his mother, many administration members came by to check on him. Raffo said that it was a real “team effort.”
His mother then took him to the hospital.

Raffo said that the accident was something that “never really happens.”
The student will be back in school on Tuesday.
