Last week, the school hired Lindsey Grall to teach Susana Herrera’s English classes until Herrera returns from maternity leave.
The former substitute for Herrera, Dorothy Nguyen, was dismissed following complaints from students.
Nguyen left the school on Friday, September 17. In the weeks since then her classes were led by a number of teachers until a permanent replacement was found.
In a letter she sent out to parents, Grall said she is working with English Department Coordinator Keren Robertson, as well as the administration and her colleagues teaching Survey of Composition and Literature and World Literature Honors.
“I will continue to follow the department’s aligned curriculum plans and grading agreements,” Grall wrote in her letter.
Grall began teaching her survey classes on Monday and her World Literature Honors class on Wednesday.
