Last Thursday, Los Altos High School distributed rapid COVID-19 antigen tests to students and faculty during their third period classes. The school has also said that test kits will be available throughout next week in the main office. 

The tests have a printed expiration date of September 2022, but the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has extended the expiration date of the tests to next year. The tests should continue to work as expected. 

The tests are being used to monitor COVID-19 cases as students and staff return from winter break. The administration wants students to take the tests before they return to school next year.
