The Mountain View–Los Altos School District released an app, titled Mountain View Los Altos, to enhance District communication. The app — designed by CatapultK12 — is available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Made to centralize District information, the app contains information on important announcements, such as Brown Bag Sessions and recent board meetings, along with regular updates and school news. 

Users are first met with a panel that allows them to toggle the school and district they want to receive news from. The Additional Resources tab provides access to information similar to what can be found on the LAHS website with the addition of District resources if selected. A calendar is also included, with dates and times for activities involving the school district such as sports games and parent meetings. A staff directory is available along with a parent/student portal, Naviance and a new student registration tab. The District resources include Board agendas, registration and links to District Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms.
