Oliver Yu, Secretary

What makes you qualified for this position?

Last year I was on the sophomore class council as Treasurer so I understand how the school board is behind the scenes. I’ve also been a part of ASB and an active member of class council to help plan various events that come with being a part of the sophomore class council.

What are your goals next year as secretary?

Getting more student input in the classroom. Recently, I feel like we’ve been trying to acknowledge more of the student voice but a lot of the time we still neglect parts of the student body, especially in Homecoming or other school events.

What do you want to bring to your position?

I think that as a secretary you have to be really organized and help out the other officer positions like president. As a school board representative I think that I can be a good communicator between what’s going on with the administration versus what’s going on at school.
