The LAHS diving team met Milpitas High school today, March 6 in its first meet of the year.
Milpitas boasts last year’s CCS champion Alexa Cacao, who came in first individually at today’s meet. Meanwhile, sophomore Austin Campatelli came in second, while junior Lindsay Emrick came in third.
The diving team has the most people it has had in quite a few years–a change that will help it in future meets.
“We mostly won because we had more people, but we still did very well,” Austin said. “With more people comes more points, and with more points comes victories, which is exactly what the diving team is looking for.
Diving’s next match will be against Santa Clara High School on Thursday, March 15, at 3:30 p.m. at home.
