School Cuts Off Water Briefly Due to Pipe Leakage

Today, October 16, the water at the school was turned off halfway through lunch for about an hour due to a leak in the water pipes. An announcement was made towards the end of lunch informing students and faculty of the shut-off, and again midway through fifth period to notify the school that the water had returned.

Ishikawa’s Homerun Puts Giants in World Series

Somewhere in the past 12 hours, the San Francisco Giants found their power. Left fielder Travis Ishikawa hit a three-run walk off homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Giants into the World Series, who beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3 today, October 16.

Boys and Girls Water Polo Victorious Against Homestead

LAHS Teachers Awarded at Santa Clara County’s Teacher Recognition Ceremony

On October 2, two teachers from the school were honored with awards from the Santa Clara County Office of Education for their outstanding teaching at the 45th annual Teacher Recognition Celebration ceremony, which took place at the Heritage Theater in Campbell. English teacher Michael Moul was nominated 2014 Santa Clara County Teacher of the Year and science teacher Meghan Straz won the 2014 Texas Instruments STEM Teaching Award.
