The ASB elections determined who would become officers in the coming 2013-2014 school year today, March 26. The voting body elected sophomore Ramiel Petros for ASB President, followed by junior Anica Nangia for Vice President. The voting body elected junior Adeline Berrospe for Secretary, sophomore Larry Antiporda forActivities Commissioner and junior Michelle Albright for Clubs Commissioner.
Ramiel said that he is excited to get the opportunity to run the class and be more involved in ASB events and the school.
“Something I want to work on next year is increasing school involvement in ASB and class council sponsored events, such as dances and fundraisers,” Ramiel said.
As Vice President, Anica said she hopes to aid Ramiel in running ASB and making important decisions about school events. Additionally, she hopes to taken on the responsibility of running the annual food drive.
“My goal is to raise the most amount of money possible for Second Harvest Food Bank next year by hyping it up around school and advertising in different ways,” Anica said.
All elected students will take on their new positions at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.
